CW35 2020 High School Football Schedule

SAN ANTONIO - CW35-TV is proud to announce the 2020 Thursday Night Lights (TNL) schedule. The season will kick-off on Thursday, September 24th with the Boerne Greyhounds playing hosts to the Fredericksburg Battling Billies - in the Billies first appearance on TNL.

The 12th season of the CW 35’s Thursday Night Lights promises to be the best yet.

Due to COVID 19, the season will start later and extend into early December. Friday night games will be added to the TNL lineup due to the UIL lifting its ban on the televising of live Friday night games. The schedule will offer viewers a unique opportunity to enjoy traditional rivalries and numerous playoff teams from 13 different school districts in the area.

The 12-game schedule will also be streamed live on CW35, FOX 29 and News 4 San Antonio’s websites.

Thursday (10/8): Medina Valley @ Veterans Memorial (Rutledge Stadium)

Friday (10/9): Steele @ East Central (East Central High School)

Thursday (10/15): Samuel Clemens @ Judson (Rutledge Stadium)

Thursday (10/22): Clark @ Churchill (Gustafson Stadium)

Thursday (10/29): New Braunfels @ Wagner (Rutledge Stadium)

Thursday (11/5): SAISD Zone Playoff Game (Alamo Stadium)

Friday (11/6): Alamo Heights @ Boerne Champion (Boerne Stadium)

Friday (11/13): Smithson Valley @ Judson (Rutledge Stadium)

Sinclair San Antonio’s Don Harris and Chuck Miketinac return to the broadcast booth for their 9th season, to call all the action.

“This is the strongest schedule of games we’ve ever had in the 12-year history of TNL”, said Sinclair San Antonio Vice President/General Manager Dean Radla. “We are always excited to televise key matchups and all that is special about high school football to our viewers every season. But this season is uniquewith the possibility of fans not being able to be in the stands, or some people not feeling comfortable coming to the games due to Covid 19, we’ve expanded our schedule, rearranged programming with our networks and added Friday games to the schedule.
