RECAP: South San held scoreless as Reagan dances in the rain
Coming into Thursday night, Reagan was the overwhelming favorite. South San, with two wins on its resume, would need four great quarters to overcome the spread.
After one quarter, it appeared it had what it took. Not that the Bobcats didn't, either. Their defense had allowed only three points and forced a few costly turnovers Southwest was bound to regret.
But the Rattlers (8-2) weren't about to be quieted.
The second quarter began and before anyone knew it, halftime was here and Reagan had expanded its lead 17-0. A three-score lead, but still doable for the Bobcats.
After half, though, the Rattlers sunk their teeth in only to find the secret to putting Bobcats to sleep, trick plays and sneaky backs. The secrets led them to a 38-0 lead before the third quarter even ended.
Unfortunately for the Bobcats, weather began in the midst of the final quarter. The game was delayed and ultimately canceled. Reagans 38-0 lead
