Churchill wins 'Gucci Bowl' against Clark with late touchdown

SAN ANTONIO - Churchill's Liam Capobianco snagged the game-winning touchdown Thursday night to beat the Clark Cougars, 28-21, in the annual "Gucci Bowl."

Capobianco's 10-yard touchdown from Derek Perez in the back left corner of the end zone gave Churchill a 27-21 lead with 17 seconds left in the fourth quarter. The score capped a 11 play, 51-yard touchdown drive that took three minutes.

Churchill's Isaac Aleman added a one-yard rushing touchdown with 4:29 left in the fourth quarter. Luke Rosas converted the 2-point conversion to to the game after a 14 play, 60 yard drive.

Clark scored two touchdowns of more than 40 yards -- a 38-yard touchdown catch from Luke Gibson and a 48-yard run for Eric Wente -- but it wasn't enough to beat Churchill.

The Cougars recovered two onside kicks in the game.
