If you look closely, the state of Texas is well represented in the NBA 2K League.

From San Antonio's own Chad Fodderie with Bucks Gaming, Jhade Black with Kings Guard Gaming to Ryan Conger with Wizards District Gaming and several others in the NBA 2K League, the Lone Star State has produced some of the best players in the world.

Another native Texan, T-Wolves Gaming's Jordan "JMoneyRep817" Martinez is from Dallas-Ft. Worth.

And despite playing in Minnesota, he proudly represents Texas during each game (817 Dallas area code in his gamer-name) as well as ensuring T-Wolves Gaming is gearing up for what will hopefully be a playoff berth.

Currently, T-Wolves Gaming is on an impressive 6-game winning streak and are making a strong final push to the playoffs.

The Spurs Zone caught up with Martinez to discuss the team's hopes of making the 2019 NBA 2K League playoffs, Texas, his play in the final weeks of the season and much more.

Jeff: The team got wins tonight to stay in the playoff hunt but there's still work to be done.

Martinez: We got to win out. We control our own destiny.

Jeff: Does that put any pressure on the team?

Martinez: No, not really. We play 2K professionally every day. I've played it for the past 10 years. We just play the game the way we play the game and we should be good.

Jeff: Looking back at the season, were there any moments that the team could have had back?

Martinez: Of course there were the slips ups in the season. The Cavs loss. We blew like a 20 point lead in the fourth quarter. But we can't look back at it. We got to move forward and I control what we control.

Jeff: What do you tell the guys with a possible playoff berth on the line?

Martinez: We got to stay focused if we want to make the playoffs and get some money. We got to play out, do what we do and just ball out.

Jeff: What are you focusing on with your game to help the team clinch a spot?

Martinez: I feel like I am aggressive, and I shoot the ball a lot. I put my teammates in a position to score more. I'll keep that same energy and score the ball.

Jeff: So you not only rep T-Wolves Gaming, but you also rep Texas.

Martinez: I always want to rep my hometown - Ft. Worth and Dallas, Texas. Having "JMoneyRep817" in my gamer-tag just shows that I care for my city. That's why I have my gamer-name like that.

Jeff: Does Texas produce some of the better players?

Martinez: Texas produces some of the best players in the world in e-games. That's why I am here!

Jeff: I am sure the Dallas-area is proud of you.

Martinez: Oh yeah! I have a lot of friends and family supporting me on Twitter. The watch my games and I appreciate that. It keeps me going.

Jeff: If T-Wolves Gaming wins the 2019 title, will you be draping yourself in the Texas flag?

Martinez: (laughs) Definitely. I am going to put the Texas star on my back and rep it of course!
