After being sidelined with a heel injury, San Antonio Spurs' Derrick White is set to make his regular-season debut versus Miami coming off the bench according to a report.

White suffered a torn plantar fascia in his left foot in a preseason match against Atlanta. The injury added to the team's point guard woes with Dejounte Murray tearing his right ACL in a preseason game against Houston and will likely be out for the entire 2018-19 season.

White's injury pushed Bryn Forbes to take the reigns as the team's starting point guard where he has averaged 12.7 points through nine games.

San Antonio will likely slowly bring back White as the team's point guard and move Forbes back to his natural position at shooting guard.
