Over the last couple of weeks, NBA teams across the league have been debuting their new Nike jerseys set to be worn next season. With the new partnership with Nike beginning in the 2017-18 season, the NBA eliminated home and road uniforms in favor of “Association” and “Icon” editions.

And finally, after a long wait, the San Antonio Spurs have unveiled their new Nike jerseys and they are spectacular.

Sporting a very classic look, the new jerseys incorporate the team's new streamlined logo with the Nike swoosh on the jersey and on the shorts. The "Icon" uniform is a standard black old road jerseys while the "Association" uniform is much like the team's home jerseys before the NBA went away from road and home jerseys.

The uniforms have a very fresh, and clean look though do not have a jersey sponsor like other teams have.

The San Antonio Spurs unveiled today the Nike Association Edition and Icon Edition uniforms that will be worn by the Silver and Black during the 2017-18 NBA season. The classic white Association Edition and black Icon Edition jersey designs maintain San Antonio’s traditional look, featuring the team name centered by the iconic Spurs logo arched across the chest, with the player numbers just below and the Nike Swoosh on the right breast. The uniforms include contrasting side panels with silver and white trim on the jersey tops and accompanying shorts.

In the first season of its new partnership with the NBA, Nike engineered four primary jerseys for each franchise, using over two-and-a-half decades of research and development with basketball players at all levels to create top performance gear that focuses on the weight, fit and construction of the uniforms. The Alpha Yarns-and-recycled polyester jerseys each contain materials from approximately 20 recycled PET bottles and wick moisture 30 percent faster than current league uniforms, while improved designs around the armhole, neck and side seams allow for ease of player movement.

The Icon Edition uniforms will be debuted during the Spurs preseason game at Sacramento on Oct. 2, and the Association Edition jerseys will make their first appearance when San Antonio hosts the Kings on Oct. 6. Association and Icon Edition uniforms will be worn throughout the season, doing away with traditional home-and-away jerseys and paying homage to the league and the Spurs franchise, respectively. Two additional uniforms representing the San Antonio community and the athlete’s mindset will be revealed at a later date.

San Antonio Fans can enter to win a new Association or Icon Edition jersey, with the option to personalize the jersey or wear the name and number of a Spurs player. Like the Spurs on Facebook for instructions and contest rules.

Swingman and authentic versions of the jerseys will be available for purchase at the Spurs Fan Shop at the AT&T Center and online at SpursFanShop.com beginning Sept. 29. Fans attending the Spurs preseason games at the AT&T Center on Oct. 6, 8 and 10 can also purchase the new jerseys at the expanded Fan Shop on the Plaza Level or at the satellite Fan Shop located on the south side of the H-E-B Fan Zone Level.
