Happy birthday to San Antonio Spurs center Jakob Poeltl. The Austrian big man turns 25 years old today.

Poeltl got the starting nod during the team's restart in Orlando, Florida after LaMarcus Aldridge was scratched due to shoulder surgery. He finished with 8.3 points per game, 64.6 percent shooting, 8.1 rebounds (3.4 offensive rebounds), 1.8 assists, and 1.4 blocks in eight games played in 25.8 minutes per game.

It will be an interesting offseason for Poeltl.

He is a restricted-free agent and is open to leaving the Spurs for a larger role and improved contract.

"I want to get paid for the value I have as a basketball player," said Poeltl. "It's not about getting as much out as possible. I want to win and develop as a basketball player."

Said Poeltl: "I still hope that I get a good offer and end up with a team with whom I can fill my role well. If it is then maybe a little less salary due to the corona situation, that would be okay with me too."

However, staying in San Antonio is what may likely happen.

"I think it's quite realistic that I will stay in San Antonio," Poeltl said.

What say you Spurs fans? Do you want the Spurs to retain Poeltl?
