SAN ANTONIO - Perennial power O'Connor is hosting Stevens in a District 28-6A clash on Taco Cabana's Thursday Night Lights presented by Jon Wayne Service Company.

Both teams have college players on both sides of the ball, and really talented offensive linemen. O'Connor's Logan Parr is headed to Texas and Stevens lineman Chris Bolling recently committed to the University of the Incarnate Word.

Stevens (5-4 overall, 5-3 in 28-6A) is still in control of their own destiny, as a win against O'Connor would clinch a spot in the playoffs. If they lose, they'll need some help in order to lock down that final postseason spot.

Either way, it's already been a remarkable season and turnaround for the Falcons under first-year head coach Anthony Boykin.

Freshman quarterback KK Brashears has been incredible this season, passing for 15 touchdowns and running for another six scores to lead the Falcons to the verge of the playoffs.

O'Connor (7-2, 7-1) is on a three-game winning streak and have won seven of eight, suffering its only district loss (37-15) back on Oct. 11 to Brandeis.

Senior running back Zion Taylor has rushed for nearly 900 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, and is always a threat to score when he gets the ball in his hands. Senior quarterback David Dodd has thrown for over 1,700 yards and 14 touchdowns this season for the Panthers, who have already locked up a spot in the playoffs.
