Spurs' DeRozan named in Forbes World's Highest-Paid Athletes list

Forbes' 2019 World's Highest-Paid Athletes list is out and San Antonio Spurs guard DeMar DeRozan came in at spot 45.

Forbes has DeRozan's earning at $32.8 million (pay), $27.8 million (salary/winnings) and $5 million (endorsements).

In the 2019-20 season, DeRozan is set to earn $27,739,975 million from San Antonio. He has a player option for the same amount in 2020-21.

DeRozan was sent to the Spurs in 2018 from the Raptors in a trade for Kawhi Leonard.

In his first season with the Spurs, he became the first player in franchise history to average 20.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists over the course of an entire season. He led the team in assists per game (6.2), while ranking second in scoring (21.2) and third in rebounds (6.0). His 6.2 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game were both career highs.
