SAN ANTONIO - Less than five weeks from now, pro football will kick off in the Alamo City thanks to the new Alliance of American Football and the San Antonio Commanders.

Before they play a snap, the league began training camp on Friday.

All eight teams in the league are hosting their camps in San Antonio for the next few weeks, that includes the Commanders.

And now the clock is ticking until kickoff for the brand new team and the brand new league. For the Commanders players, it feels like the first game is right around the corner.

The San Antonio Commanders open the season on Feb. 9 against the San Diego Fleet at the Alamodome.
