According to a report from Mexican site La Verdad, the San Antonio Spurs and Phoenix Suns will play a regular-season game during the 2019-20 season in Mexico.

The report says the game will be on December 14, 2019. Joining the Spurs and Suns will be the Mavericks and Pistons.

There will be two matches that will be played in the NBA regular season in our country, the first one will be next December 12 between the Detroit Pistons and the Dallas Mavericks; while the second one will be on the 14th of the same month between the Phoenix Suns and the San Antonio Spurs. So far it has not been released officially, but it is expected soon to do so.

This will be another visit to Mexico for the Spurs.

In December 2013, the Spurs were set to play a game versus the Timberwolves but during warm ups, the arena was filled with smoke. The game was ultimately canceled.

The Spurs returned to Mexico in 2017 and faced the Suns losing 108-105.
