According to a report, the Charlotte Hornets are set to interview San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Ettore Messina for their vacant Head Coaching spot.

Messina will be a hot commodity for teams looking for a new coach in the offseason.

Aside from his NBA experience which is well-documented, his international coaching resume is among the best. He has won four EuroLeague championships as a head coach and is regarded as one of the best European basketball coaches of all time, having been named in 2008, one of the 50 Greatest EuroLeague Contributors.

Add in his years of working with Spurs' Head Coach Gregg Popovich, this only adds to his allure.
