The San Antonio Spurs faced off against the Portland Trail Blazers in their third game of the Las Vegas Summer League losing to Portland, 89-95.
The Spurs were without Derrick White and Chimezie Metu and found themselves down for most of the game. The team was able to string together a late-game run to give themselves a chance. However, in the final minutes, the Spurs struggled to close it out which resulted in a loss.
With five players scoring double-digit points, the Spurs saw their field-goal percentage be one of their best yet for the summer. Their final percentage was 46.6 percent which was higher than the Blazers.
Lonnie Walker IV and Jaron Blossomgame led the Spurs by adding 12 points each. Walker IV was also able to add a play to his highlight reel by slamming down a put-back dunk.
The Spurs also led the Blazers in rebounds (35-34) and assists (20-17), but still couldn't pull out the win.
The Spurs drop to 1-2 in Las Vegas.
