Happy birthday to San Antonio Spurs' Marco Belinelli as he turns 34 years old today.
Belinelli has been all he can to not only support his home country of Italy that has been hit hard by the coronavirus but has been educating the masses on how to halt the spread of the virus.
" I help as much as I can, from afar, in the hope of being able to return soon to Bologna and thank one by one all the people who are on the front line today. I've never felt so proud to be Italian."
Through 52 games played this season, he averaged 5.8 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 39% field goal and 36% from the three-point line before the NBA 2019-20 season was put on hiatus.
Also, happy birthday to former Spur and fan-favorite Avery Johnson.
Johnson played with the Spurs from 1992-93 and then from 1994-2001.
"The Little General" was key to the Spurs' title run in 1999 and made the title-clinching shot to help the Spurs win Game 5.
The Spurs retired Johnson's number 6 in 2007 and was also inducted into the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame in 2009.
