BOERNE, Texas - Scoring a touchdown is dream for anyone football player, but for Eric Barnhill it was even more special on Thursday night.
Barnhill, a special needs student at Boerne Champion High School, had the home crowd cheering for him as he scored a touchdown during the junior varsity game against Floresville.
"This is the epitome of kindness and positively impacting the lives of others," said Bryan Benway, director of communications at Boerne Independent School District.
Barnhill was congratulated by not only his teammates, but the Floresville players as well. He was given the game ball by the referee after his touchdown.
