Former San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Mike Budenholzer has been hired as the new head coach of the Bucks according to a report.
Budenholzer parted way with the Hawks once their 2017-18 season concluded, paving the way for him to join Milwaukee.
Budenholzer won the 2014-15 NBA Coach of the Year award with the Hawks but ultimately could not get Atlanta out of the East after making it to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2016.
Spurs assistant coaches Becky Hammon and Ettore Messina were also reportedly in the running for the Bucks job.
Budenholzer won four titles with the Spurs and spent 17 seasons with the organization before being hired by the Hawks in 2013.
