SAN ANTONIO – With a week of voting in the books the Bandera High School cheer team has taken over the lead in the San Antonio Sports All-Star Cheer Challenge powered by CPS Energy.

Bandera has a total of 1,000 votes as of Friday afternoon. They are followed by Marshall (950), Canyon Lake (859) and Taft (538).

“We are bringing back that old Bulldog Spirit this year by getting our whole community involved. We participate in many community service activities, have started a Pup Squad for the younger kids, support all sports and activities as much as we can! We maintain grades and attendance and promote friendships between other sports and clubs,” reads Bandera’s Cheer Challenge description.

Voting continues to see which four cheer squads will win the opportunity to cheer at the San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game on January 5, 2019 at the Alamodome. The team with the most votes will receive a $1,000 grant, and the second-place team wins a $500 grant.

Voting continues through December 3rd. CLICK HERE TO VOTE…
