It's not the kind of text message parents look forward to sending.

But a Texas teen who posted the exchange with her mom over "drugs" found in her room has gone viral.

According to text messages posted by Ashley Banks, her mom thought she found drugs in the teen's room last week.

Turns out, the capsules were foam animal capsules.

"Why in the Earth would you buy these? I thought you were 16 not 7," her mom texted.

"[I don't know] they looked cool," Ashley replied.

The post had more than 44,000 retweets in less than a week.
