NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) - A road-rage incident caused some issues for drivers on southbound I-65 Thursday morning, and the alleged aggressor had the tables turned on him when the victim pulled out a gun.

According to the police affidavit, 49-year-old James Robert Higgason drove into the victim's lane, forcing the driver to go into the far right lane. The victim and a witness told police Higgason continued to swerve into the victim's lane and "appeared to intentionally run the victim off the road."

When Higgason was unsuccessful, he then allegedly hit the man's truck with his car, causing the man to pull onto the shoulder. Both men got out of their vehicles and got into a verbal argument. The victim says Higgason grabbed him by the throat and that's when the victim pulled a gun on Higgason to get him to let go.

Higgason is facing charges of aggravated assault and was booked into the Davidson County Jail.
