Several San Antonio area schools participated in a massive dog house-building competition to raise money for San Antonio-area nonprofits.

Barkitecture 2019 featured some very cool dog houses, including a large red barn, a tiny home for dogs and even an adorable jailhouse for those puppies that just can't seem to keep out of trouble.

A Whataburger-themed dog house showed a classic-style restaurant, with the steep roofline, parking spaces and iconic orange-and-white striping.

Reagan High School placed first in the competition (large red barn), Construction Careers Academy came in second (tiny home), and St. Philip's College placed third (jailhouse).

While some of the houses sold, others are still available. Contact Barkitecture through their Facebook page to ask about the dog houses or to buy a Fiesta medal.
