Wrestling legend Jose Lothario has passed away, according to a statement released by the WWE.

Lothario, who was born Guadalupe Robledo, was a Mexican professional wrestler who is also known for training WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, who grew up in San Antonio.

Lothario's training helped Michaels earn recognition during the early part of his career and is credited with teaching Michaels how to perform the signature kick known as Sweet Chin Music.

“I think every young boy who lived in Texas knew who Jose Lothario was,” Michaels told WWE Magazine in 1996. “I first saw him on TV when I was 12. He was the first Superstar to come across my screen. He is a legend in San Antonio, Cuba, Mexico just about everywhere!”

He was 83 years old.
