There are a few things you should know about Sunny G.

He served in the Navy during the first Gulf War. “Which led to my PTSD, which is making puffy tacos swiftly disappear," he jokes.

He loves to laugh. And he’s blind.

“Totally blind. One hundred percent blind," said Sunny.

His depression nearly led him to suicide.

But then, he met a woman who also happens to be blind.

“Two people will meet on the internet on the dark web.”

They got married and life is good.

But still, Sunny G had this dream.

“Why not do the one thing I’ve always wanted to do in the world, and that’s standup comedy," said Sunny.

Now he's living that dream as Sunny G stand up comedian in San Antonio.

"I've always wanted to do it since I was a kid," said Sunny.

And now he has one more dream to fulfill.

“I’ve actually started my own foundation, called the LIFT Foundation," said Sunny.

A non profit dedicated to bringing public awareness of veteran service organizations.

“Like Broken Warriors Angels, and Service Angels," he said.

Back on track.

A new life, a new love.

All because he took a chance on his dreams.

“Charity and comedy," said Sunny.
