Woman robs iPhone during 'Offer-Up' app transaction while holding baby: Police

A woman holding a two-week-old baby robbed another woman during an "Offer-Up" sale of an iPhone, police say.

Port St. Lucie Police responded to a house on southwest Ronlea Court near southwest Bridgeport Drive on Oct. 1 around 7 p.m. for reports of an armed robbery, according to police.

Police say the victim was contacted by a woman wanting to buy her cell phone and the two agreed to meet up at the house on SW Ronlea Court.

During the in-person meet up for the transaction, an unknown male and female arrived in an unknown tan older model mid-size vehicle, according to police. As the victim reached into her purse for the cell phone, the man pointed a gun at her and told her to "move" and the unknown woman got back into the car with the victim's cell phone without giving her any payment for the phone.

Police say the female suspect's "Offer-Up" username is Brittany Lake and she is described as black, having a piercing on her left cheek, curly hair, with cheetah print tattoos on both shoulders, shooting star tattoos on her right thigh and a decayed tooth on the right side of her mouth. Police say the female suspect was holding a two-week-old baby named Treasure during the incident.

According to police, the black male is described as having dark skin with short "Kodak" dreads and slight goatee.

Police say no injuries were reported.

Port St. Lucie Police urge people wanting to make online transactions to use the designated "meetup" spot at the Port St. Lucie Police Department to prevent incidents like this.
