Right now PBSO deputies are on the lookout for a suspect in a burglary.
They say the suspect looks like the picture above with a slender build and 5’5-5’7 in height.
They say that man broke into a home in West Boca Raton and tried to attack two females, before a third person spooked him off.
It happened Sunday at the Arbor Oaks Apartment Complex.
A woman, Jane Doe, who doesn’t want to be identified, lives just doors away from where PBSO says a burglary and alleged attempted battery took place on Sunday.
They say the home had 2 minors inside when the burglar came in.
Deputies say the suspect is still out there.
Doe isn’t taking any chances when it comes to her own kids.
“I’m going to protect my family. That’s for sure,” she says.
On her back door she posted a sign that says “you might break in, you will not walk out”
She says she’s not just worried about her home, but the lack of security at the complex.
“It’s easy to get in here,” says Doe.
The property is labeled as a luxury complex, yet the perimeter doesn’t even have a fence.
The apartment complex appears to be protected by an unmanned gate.
But just steps away is a huge security risk.
Gaps in the bushes surrounding the perimeter of the property allows anyone to get into the property.
We reached out to the complex’s management for comment, but they haven’t gotten back to us.
Meanwhile this Jane Doe is hoping the public steps up to identify the suspect.
“I don’t want any family to have to go through this,” she says.
Many people here told us they weren’t aware of the burglary because management never alerted them.
PBSO asks that if you see the suspect to contact them at 1800-458-TIPS.
