SAN ANTONIO - What will bus transportation look like, what if a student refuses to wear a mask and will there be recess?

Those are just some of the questions we heard from viewers during Monday's Education Town Hall with the superintendents of Northside, Alamo Heights and Floresville ISD.

Our superintendents took questions on a variety of issues.

Dr. Brian Woods of NISD confirmed that the district does plan to hold recess when students return to campus, although it will look different. He also said parents will need to have some patience as bus transportation resumes, as more routes will be needed to accommodate all the students who need a ride to school. He also said that classes will continue past the Thanksgiving holiday, unlike at some universities, which plan to end the semester in November.

Dr. Sherri Bays of Floresville added that she was pleased to see students complying with mask rules when in-person learning resumed in her district a couple weeks ago. She also talked about the district's efforts to find qualified substitute teachers to fill-in for teachers, if necessary.
