Rain chances for the weekend, holding for most of the week with cooler temperatures

SAN ANTONIO - Rain opportunities will increase for the weekend and hold for most of next week, temperatures will trend cooler than normal.

Saturday morning will start out cloudy, temperatures near 80 and a light northeast wind.

Tropical Storm Hanna will be approaching the coast below Corpus Christi and rain opportunities will increase as tropical bands of rainfall move across the region.

Lunchtime temperatures will climb to near 85 during that time, Tropical Storm Hanna will strengthen a bit and edge closer to the coast. In fact, tropical showers will dot the region and be more numerous to the south of San Antonio. Peak afternoon temperatures will be near 90.

Hanna will come ashore just South of Corpus Christi about 6 p.m. we will see the Northern edge of the storm move across our area tropical showers will be possible.

LONG RANGE:

Left over moisture from Tropical Storm Hanna will provide the fuel for scattered showers to develop into the middle of next week.

Areas south of the city will see the best opportunity for rain. Otherwise daytime heating showers will develop each day and daytime highs will ride just a little below normal each day.
