What started out as a Tropical Storm, quickly evolved into a damaging hurricane, which continues to ravage through South Texas.
According to the National Weather Service, Hurricane Hanna officially made landfall around 5 p.m.
Since then, Hanna has made extensive damage into the region including knocking down the Bob Hall pier in Corpus Christi. In Port Mansfield for example, residents saw wind gusts around 90 mph, causing damage to structures in the Western and Southern eyewall as it moved over the area.
However, winds did seem to be calmer from inside the Southern part of the eye, but will be impacted by the Eastern eyewall as the storm continues to move ashore.
