SAN ANTONIO - Monday is the day each week we look through all of the photos of pets we receive from our viewers in Chime In and choose just one to name as our Pet of the Week.
This week we chose Bo Marley, a Boxer who just turned one year old on April 22 and like many of you out there had to celebrate his birthday in quarantine. Ashlee Henderson tells us she got Bo from a family in Schertz in June of last year. They couldn't decide between the name Bob Marley or Bo, so they combined the two and went with Bo Marley.
Bo doesn't have a favorite food because ANY food is his favorite. Sadly, he has never had a puppuccino from Starbucks. Ashlee says that he was very easy to train, learning how to sit, shake, get in his crate and lay down. He also responds to some words like "outside", "bye bye", and "load up." He gets rewarded with his favorite treat, a rawhide chew toy.
Bo loves it when the family takes him camping and to the river.
And he loves naps. Ashlee said he sleeps in her bed like the king he thinks he is.
"I've bred and owned many breeds in my lifetime and he has got to be the most sweetest, loyal, cuddle bug I've ever had," said Ashlee. "Plus he is crazy funny and full of character. Despite his bad gas."
According to the American Kennel Club, "Boxers are a bright, energetic and playful breed and tend to be very good with children. Boxers are instinctive guardians and can become very attached to their families."
Could you be loved and be loved any more, Bo... we don't think so. Three little birds tell us you don't have to worry about anything.
