EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (WSET) -- Mattel, the toy company that owns the Barbie brand, will be releasing a limited edition Dia de Muertos-theme Barbie doll in honor of the approaching Mexican holiday, also known as "Dia de Los Muertos" or "Day of the Dead" in English.

The Dia de Los Muertos Barbie represents the "Day of the Dead" festival, which honors departed loved ones, according to CNN.

Mattel says the doll "honors the traditions, symbols and rituals often seen throughout this time."

According to USA Today, the holiday is a 3,000-year-old ritual and that "it is marked with festivals, cemetery visitation and vibrant skull face painting."

The new Barbie costs $75.

You can find it on Thursday, Sept. 12 at Target, Walmart or on Amazon.

Last August, Mattel released Barbie dolls of civil rights activist Rosa Parks and astronaut Sally Ride.
