Movie about Cuban political prisoners being filmed near Miami

A movie about Cuban political prisoners is being filmed in South Florida on Friday.

CBS affiliate CBS 4 Miami reports that a $2.7 million film is in production that tells the story of political prisoners who defied Fidel Castro in the 1960s.

The move is called "Plantado" and is being funded by a Cuban-born businessman and honors political prisoners in Cuba under the communist regime, according to the report.

In a tweet on Friday, Doral Police say there may be simulated explosions and gunfire in the area of NW 107 Avenue and 33rd Street due to the filming of the movie through 7 p.m.
