SAN ANTONIO - School may be out, but the kitchen at many area campuses will still be open.
On Monday, several school districts in our area are starting their summer food programs to help make sure children don't go hungry.
The San Antonio Independent School District is well stocked in it's downtown warehouse facility to distribute healthy meals to campuses. There is a list of campuses that provide meals. This applies to other districts like Northside, Judson and Somerset ISD.
Anyone from infants to 18 years old can get breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday.
Each year, San Antonio ISD serves thousands of children in the community and you don't have to be a registered student to get a meal.
The start times for the summer food programs vary from district to district with many of them starting today.
