Man wanted in Orlando rape case arrested in West Palm Beach

A suspect wanted in a sexual battery case in Orlando was arrested on Tuesday, police said.

According to the Orlando Police Department, 36-year-old James Calixte was arrested by the US Marshals Service in the West Palm Beach area.

Calixte is wanted for a sexual battery incident that occurred on Oct. 26 on East Jefferson Street and North Brown Avenue.

CBS affiliate WKMG reports the woman was attacked in her home in the Lake Eola neighborhood during a block party.

"We appreciate the assistance of the US Marshals Service and all other agencies, including FDLE, who worked closely with our Detectives to help bring this dangerous suspect into custody," Orlando Police said in a statement.

Orlando Police said a detective drove to West Palm Beach overnight to interview Calixte. There's no word yet on when he'll be extradited to Orlando to face charges.

Police are looking for potential victims in West Palm Beach.
