Perfect attendance. Honor roll. The super you award. When elementary school students go above and beyond, it's time to call... BATMAN! Only this is not the Caped Crusader from Gotham City. No. This is Batman of San Antonio! Ten years ago, Batman decided he wanted to motivate and inspire the youth of San Antonio.

"The prime thing about that is because children are still full of dreams and they have endless possibilities. So if you encourage a child, that they can be or do anything you set them on the path to greatness," said Batman.

Today he spent time at Forbes Elementary School where he awarded some 4th grade students for their hard work. The best part? They got to meet and take pictures with Batman of San Antonio.

"I think that's a pretty amazing kindhearted thing for someone to do," said principal Erica Lopez, "He's doing it out of the generosity of this heart and he's wanting to spread goodness and kindness, so I think that's pretty amazing."

From a young age, he knew he wanted to be Batman. He even shared this with his kindergarten teacher.

"By my kindergarten teacher I was told no, that it was a impossibility believe it or not. But my family believed in me and I told them this is what I wanted to do. Friends and family cannot believe that I'm actually doing this and I can actually make a living doing this," he explained.

Some might wonder, why be Batman?

"Batman has no superpowers. He is just a man with a will to do good and to help others. And that's really the best thing you can do really," said Batman.

Anyone can book Batman of San Antonio for events and parties. But he donates his time to schools and hospitals. All in an effort to share one message.

"You can be the hero. It all starts with you. Just be the change that you want to see in the world. One person can make a difference," he said.
