Video of dancing robots at the recent 68th United Nations Civil Society Conference has taken off on Twitter.

The viral tweet by 2News Reporter Cristina Flores featured a 22-second video she shot with her phone of miniature robots created by young South Korea students. The bots mimicked the dance moves of the popular K-pop group BTS.

Flores wrote in her caption that while the robots looked like fun toys the purpose of the humanoid figures is to someday help save people's lives including the elderly who live alone.

The interactive booth by the young engineers was part of the UN's conference that was attended by an estimated 8,000 participants from around the world earlier this week in Salt Lake City.

Representatives of civil society organizations discussed a wide range of solutions to the challenges of urban life and the modern world. The South Korean students proposed that robotics play a vital role in solving global sustainability challenges.
