In a recent update from ESPN, San Antonio Spurs fans were given another update on Tony Parker’s return.
Earlier this season, it was noted that Parker wanted to come back by the end of November. And it’s looking like that’s when it will be.
Head coach Gregg Popovich stated that Parker was progressing through his rehab very well. Because of this, we should be seeing him hit the floor again very soon.
Tony Parker is getting close to returning. Parker has said he hopes to come back at the end of this month. Pop has said the vet is progressing well through the rehab protocol.
Parker has averaged 16.2 points and 5.8 assists during his career and will bring in some veteran leadership and stability at the point guard spot. With Dejounte Murray cooling after his hot start to the season and now relegated to the bench, Patty Mills has been slotted into the starting point guard spot but it's not his natural position.
There will be an adjustment period once Tony returns but he should bolster the team that has been staying afloat without him and Kawhi Leonard.
Parker has been practicing a lot with the Spurs’ G-League team and also with the Spurs themselves.
